Carbon dioxide incubator is widely used in cell, tissue culture and the culture of some special microorganisms, commonly found in cell dynamics research, collection of mammalian cell secretions, carcinogenic or toxicological effects of various physical and chemical factors, research and production of antigens, culture of hybridoma cells to produce antibodies, in vitro fertilization (IVF), stem cells, tissue engineering, drug screening and other research fields. Carbon dioxide incubator is an incubator that can control the three indicators of temperature, humidity and pH, although different brands of products are different, but the general principle is the same.
(2) Regulation of CO<>:
The carbon dioxide incubator gas is composed of high-concentration CO2 cylinders, gas pumps, pressure stabilizer valves, needle valves, solenoid valves, flow meters and gas storage cylinders. When a certain pressure of high concentration CO2 gas is input, through the flow and time control of the regulating valve, needle valve and solenoid valve, a certain amount of CO2 gas enters the working room to achieve the CO2 concentration value in the automatic control studio. This value is also displayed by the display circuit, which is easy to see. During the working process of the CO2 box, the gas cylinder replenishes the working chamber to maintain a stable CO2 concentration value.
CO2 incubators commonly use thermal conductivity (TC) sensors or infrared (IR) sensors to detect changes in CO2 concentration in the chamber. When the door of the CO2 incubator is opened, CO<> leaks out of the chamber, and the sensor detects a decrease in CO<> concentration and reacts in time to re-inject CO<> back to the preset level.
(2) Temperature regulation:
The temperature of the CO2 incubator is heated by a heating wire, and there are mainly two heating systems: water jacket heating and gas jacket heating.
(2) Humidity control:
Most CO<> incubators generate moisture through the evaporation of humidification plates, and large carbon dioxide incubators use steam generators or sprayers to control the relative humidity level. Some incubators have a humidity reservoir at the bottom, which can enhance evaporation, however, this system is also more complex, and some unpredictable problems will occur during use due to the increase of complex structure.
